Client Representative Council

Overview

The Client Representative Council (CRC) is Vision Australia's peak client advisory body. It is made up of Vision Australia clients who have been elected to the position from each of the five Regional Client Committees. The CRC also has representation from Service Specific Consultative Committees.

The CRC may also choose to invite additional members to meet the mix of experience, representations and skills required by the committee. This category of membership currently includes a representative of parents of children who are blind or have low vision and a client representative of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The primary role of the CRC is to offer a client perspective to the Board and management of Vision Australia on issues affecting clients in a broad context.

The CRC is about a real partnership between clients and the Organisation. At each meeting of the CRC, up to two representatives of the Vision Australia Board and three members of the Executive Team attend the meeting to report on what's happening within the Organisation and to discuss any issues raised by the client representatives. So, in voicing your opinion through the CRC, you have a real opportunity to have your say.
