Brendan Smyth in Vision

Brendan Smyth MLA, Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Minister for Health; Ageing; and Business and Tourism, will visit the Canberra office of Vision Australia (formerly Royal Blind Society) on Tuesday 14th March at 2.30pm.

During the tour he will learn about the free services that Vision Australia offers those who are blind or vision impaired in the Canberra and South West NSW community as well as meeting the group of professionals who provide the services including Orthoptists and Occupational Therapists.

Mr Smyth will also meet with current clients to hear about how Vision Australia has changed their lives for the better.

On 13th September 2005 the Royal Blind Society merged with the Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind, Vision Australia Foundation and the National Information Library Service to form the newly named Vision Australia. Vision Australia works in partnership with more than 38,000 Australians of all ages who are blind or vision impaired, to help pursue the opportunities they choose in life.
